Personally, I'm not a huge fan when it comes to mashups of multiple songs. However, not too long ago, I stumbled upon a couple (just 3) that I found particularly interesting and actually bearable. With time, they became my favourites. It's this kind of music that gets me to do my work and getting those adrenaline pumping while trying to secrete more endorphins.

Mashup number one: 2NE1's Fire + SHINee's Lucifer


Surprisingly, the beat goes well together and there aren't any obvious-I-can't-take-this-bullshit-awkward-moments in there.

Mashup number two: Hyuna's Ice cream + SNSD's the boys


I know alot of people aren't actually fans of Hyuna's Ice Cream (neither was I), but you know, to be honest, the reason why I didn't like it was because I got put off by the live stages. It was just too dramatic and over the top for my liking. But when I actually took the time to listen to the audio, without any animation whatsoever, I found bits of the song that were actually...good. Sure, it doesn't show Hyuna's capabilities at all, but I mean, what can we really do about that?

Mashup number three: MBLAQ's This is war + SNSD's Paparazzi


It actually...fits. Speechless.

Comebacks

Wow wow weee. We will be expecting a huge wave of comebacks before the end of this year from the SM and YG!

G-Dragon in 3 days with his mini album and TVXQ coming back later this month, the rest of September will be a battle between the boys while us fan girls celebrate!

October will be the months for the girls with 2NE1 and Girls' Generation planning on coming back.

After the big guys, it's rookies' time! Exo will be coming back with a full length album this time (GIVE ME MY LADY ALREADY! I'VE BEEN YEARNING FOR IT SINCE THAT TEASER!) and YG will be releasing Kpop Star SuPearls and a new girl group who are apparently "YG's Girls Generation"!

Side note, Glen Check will also be releasing their new EP under the title "Cliché" at the end of this month! TOO MUCH TO HANDLE AHHHHHHHH!

Songs to introduce to non Kpop friends.

I always found it hard to choose that ONE song to show my non-Kpop friends and try to 'convert' them into liking Kpop. Kpop songs (well the older ones) are still quite different from the mainstream music in US or UK, so in today's post I will try to compile a list of more....normal songs (to the non Kpop people that is) to introduce to your friends if you are trying to get them to like Kpop!

Some tips to keep in mind when you are trying to introduce Kpop songs to the beginners:
- Try to find songs without MAJOR Engrish (eg Make a love baby, IN THE CUBE). These songs are a bad idea if you have friends who act like grammar Nazis.
- Never show them the music videos. Things like the guyliners, dancing pretty boys (or girls but just mainly the boys) and tight pants take some time at getting used to. They might get mentally scarred during the first few seconds of the MV and you will lose your chance at turning them into a fellow Kpop-er.
- Try avoiding the use an SM's title song as the introductory song. SM's title songs are quite...over the top and not so usual in a non Kpop-er's dictionary. All of Super Junior's title songs were a bad idea, so were most of SHINee's title songs. I think to like these song, you need to have somewhat of a 'Kpop background'. Like take Ring Ding Dong for example. Before I was into Kpop, I thought it sounded terrible and hated it. Now that I am into Kpop, I found it somewhat normal. Weird I know but that's how it is.
-You can't go wrong with ballads. Well ballads are normally the same right, Kpop or not? I haven't heard of some crazy ballads so I might be wrong.
- Ask that person what their favourite songs are and try to find Kpop songs that are similar. I've been using this way recently and it's the most successful ahaha.

Disclaimer: The following list may not even work because I have lost all senses of how a 'normal' song even sounds like since I've stop listening to English songs (with the exception of Muse and a little Temper Trap) for nearly 3 years. But you must know I tried my best.

16. Mirotic - TVXQ (Quite a lot of my non Kpop friends know this song...strange but give it a try too!)
17. They Are Coming - Wheesung
18. This Song - 2AM
19. Without You - 2PM (This song got me into Kpop. I was so against it and this got me into it. Might be the magic potion to all conversion.)
20. I Am The Best - 2NE1

Review: I Love You - 2NE1

Ah 2NE1. One of the very few girl goups that I actualy enjoy listening to. Was quite excited to see what they have for us after they announced their comeback!

This song was released 2 days ago on the 5th of July but I kept forgetting to listen to it so it was only till today when the MV was released did I finally heard it.

When it first started I was kinda like "Uhhhh :/" cause it reminded me abit of Gotye's Somebody That I used to Know (I don't like that song....at all). Then when they sang "I love you", that was when it started getting good and I was like OMG I LOVE YOU TOO!
This song is not as powerful as their usual stuff like I am the Best (which I really like too) but it still preserves that kinda unique edgy style they are known for. I love it. I think they did a great job with this new sound just like how they did it with It Hurts. I really love their vocals too. CL sounds so so amazing.

They all look really good in this video D: I loveeee the makeup. The purple glitter liner on CL, teal feather lashes on Bom and Dara's coral lips. And OMG Dara's hair. Wow what a transformation! I would never dare to do such a thing. Respectttttt! OH! AND AND AND THEIR NAILS! OMG I LOVE THEIR NAILS IN THIS VIDEO! Especially the butterfly wings one CL had when she was lying on the bed! Some one help me get my hands on those!

So yeah, totally LOVE this! Can't wait to see what they will throw at us in the future but I will be waiting excitedly!
