Perhaps I was a little too rushed into writing the song review for IGAB (I got a boy), but my base opinion still stands strong, although, after a couple more replays, I found the song quite catchy. I still got to give it to them for having the sheer guts to release something like this. Onto the dance aspect of the song.

I LOVE IT. LOVEEEEE ITTTTT.

There's not a single thing I don't like about it. Seriously. From the hat lifting at the start, to shifting rows to have more spotlight on certain members, the fact that a lot more of them have more air time now, and then to the shining spot on Sooyoung to Tiffany's spotlight to Jessica and Seohyun's, and man, can Taeyeon dance!

You would think that being a main vocal is going to deter her from ripping the choreo apart, but that's exactly what she did! I'm genuinely surprised at her dancing abilities. Really.

I realise this doesn't really showcase her dancing abilities, but you've got to watch her in the whole dance!

On the other hand, I can't say the same for the other main vocal. Jessica. Lazy as ever. It's gotten quite funny actually how she just cbf to swing that head of hers or reach down to her toes, only going half way. Other people who aren't fans of them would think it's so unprofessional of her to do so; and I did think so before too, but it's gotten to the point where I'm just so used to her noob-ness at dancing that we all just go, oh there's Jessica for you.

Even in "The Boys" where they're doing this arm move and she's just forever out of beat and never in sync for every single stage. It's like you can't correct it at all.

Here's their latest stage on Music Core, try to spot the JessMistake.

If you couldn't find it, it was around 1:37. Although, I think it was pretty apparent as to where it was since it was a distant shot. Rachel mentioned how gay their outfits were on this stage, and I must agree, they look pretty damn gay with those hearts on their pants. Their other outfits are pretty good though. I guess they just want loads of variety? Who knows.

Tiffany's kind of off it as well, but she does kind of make sure her hair flips around a little bit more. In this part of the choreo, I found that there wasn't really a specific set of move because while the dancers at the front excluding Tiffany were 90 degrees down to their right, the back row is sort of looking at the front, but then there are some parts where they're looking to their left...and then there's Jessica who's just..I don't even know what to say.

Having said that I loved their dance and everything there was one slight thing that bugged me. At the beginning of the MV when Tiffany comes out and does her little solo bit, and then the girls start to dance, her arms aren't fully extended................I know, it's like who cares, but, it's just annoying! hahah she does it well on live stages, and I know they normally do multiple takes for the MV so I don't know how they got that bit through. If I was the choreographer I'd probably be a little annoyed at that.

That's all for the dance.

So the wait is over! Expectations were soaring high this time around with SNSD's 4th album. I was a little late to find out that it was coming out at 5 KST, which meant that while I was stuck on the screen of my computer at 1am yesterday, constantly refreshing my youtube dash and SMTOWN FB, it was actually coming out 15 hours later. I waited the whole day, getting fidgety after lunch, then it finally was released.

Just a summary of what I think of the song itself, just so, you know, I make my point well clear. I'd rather call this a little medley mashup of about 5-6 songs in one. Why? BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY MELODIES STUCK IN EVERYWHERE, IT'S LIKE, FOR GOD'S SAKES MAKE UP YOUR MIND. Whoever that composed this song must be ambitious with what they've got. It sounds like they had worked on a couple of melodies in the past, and somehow or rather ran out of time to fully work on one, so they just decided to stick them all together (I know they ran out of time because that's what happened to my IGCSE music composition and it sounds as confused as this piece. heh.) Another big dissapoint this time was the fact that Hyoyeon didn't get her usual dance solo. The girl can dance like the world's ending and you give her some rap duel with Yoona? Thoroughly dissapointed in you SM, well and truly dissapointed. You're not using your assets well enough.

Sooyoung starts off with a rap with melody number one with Yuri. Then Tiffany struts in with her english skills, no surprise there; still sounds relatively good. Taeyeon is next up with a continuation of melody number 2 from Tiffany's intro, followed by Seohyun. Melody number 3 and 4 is used multiple times at various parts of the music with the help of Jessica and Tiffany's sudden "Stop right there; take it back to another lane, something something 140". To be frank, it's a mess. No flow at all.

Having said that, I actually do like the individual melodies. It's just a shame that they decided to mush it all up into one song.

On to the other songs.
First song is Promise:

It's a nice slow ballad, showcasing the lead and main vocals quite neatly. The melody is sort of sweet I guess, but it's nothing amazing and doesn't really appeal to me that much. Good song to listen to while doing Maths though.

Next up is Express 999:

Funky composition that reminds me of some disco era song. This song also has a dual melody to it, but it has a far better transition than IGAB fortunately enough.

Third song is Lost in Love:

This, my dear readers, is a product of TaeNy. Taeyeon and Tiffany is only featured in this song. I found that the song was very lyrical, and spoke out to listeners. The slow quirky sounds in the background at the start reminded me of those clips of MR removed you can find on youtube to see if your bias is really lip syncing or not. After a while, it fades away, and a nice beat accompanies their voices. Lovely song indeed.

Up next is XYZ:

I don't really know what to think of this song. It's a fuse of what I term the "latest" rage with music. A lot of those techno things, but not too hardcore. It's bearable, and somewhat to a certain extent quite catchy.

Look at me is 5th on the list:

A cute-sy rap greets us, with a melody that has a hint of Indian-ness to it. Again this reminds me of a song from the disco era, but this time with some mystery vibe in the middle with some funky guitar playing in what I think would be the climax. You look at me, I look at you.

I'm not sure what Romantic St. is suppose to read, but it's the next song:

This may be one of the more favourable songs in this album for me. There's such a nice piano melody in the beginning, and IT HAS FLOW. Something IGAB totally lacks. It does however have some hints of a song from TaeTiSeo's Twinkle album in it as well as a song from their The Boys album? Is it just me? I don't know, it just sounds really familiar to me. But still, this song gets on the good list.

The next song is apparently a Korean version of Pixie Lott's What you do, called Baby Maybe:

Still meh. Is it me, or are they just having korean versions of english released songs? SM needs to hire better composers.

If you haven't already watched their version of Duffy's Mercy which was shot during their Gee days, you can watch it now:

Nothing to shout about, it's the same melody and everything. It's just that it's in korean and rather than belting out "something something begging you for mercy" it's now " something something dancing" and then somewhere down the line would be queen or dancing queen together. I do feel though, that this has a slight "whole-ness" feel to it, but I figured that's only because there's 9 of them singing the song, whereas Duffy only had herself.

That's it for this album. Overall, it was quite a dissapointment. I loved the melodies in IGAB, but it was just too much in one. The other songs were just mediocre, and didn't really appeal to me as much as the songs from the Twinkle album. Just waiting for their live stages, to see the overall performance.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan when it comes to mashups of multiple songs. However, not too long ago, I stumbled upon a couple (just 3) that I found particularly interesting and actually bearable. With time, they became my favourites. It's this kind of music that gets me to do my work and getting those adrenaline pumping while trying to secrete more endorphins.

Mashup number one: 2NE1's Fire + SHINee's Lucifer

Surprisingly, the beat goes well together and there aren't any obvious-I-can't-take-this-bullshit-awkward-moments in there.

Mashup number two: Hyuna's Ice cream + SNSD's the boys

I know alot of people aren't actually fans of Hyuna's Ice Cream (neither was I), but you know, to be honest, the reason why I didn't like it was because I got put off by the live stages. It was just too dramatic and over the top for my liking. But when I actually took the time to listen to the audio, without any animation whatsoever, I found bits of the song that were actually...good. Sure, it doesn't show Hyuna's capabilities at all, but I mean, what can we really do about that?

Mashup number three: MBLAQ's This is war + SNSD's Paparazzi

It actually...fits. Speechless.

Now before any of you say anything about us not being Korean and how it does not in any way relate to the issue at hand, I'd just like to put it out there that I'm posting this as a fan of K-music and am proud of the fact that K-singers are making it to international based lists.

What I'm referring to is the 23rd Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces 2012. The title says it all, so why am I so excited? Because not one, not two but three snsd members made it to the list as "new entry". On top of that, IU got selected as well, along with actresses Song Hyekyo, Nam Gyuri, Go Ara and Gianna Jun.

According to TC Candler, "Unlike many other annual publications, The Independent Critics List is not a popularity contest. It is not about the sexiest or the most famous. Rather, it aims to be a very international list and one that is inclusive of many cultures, lifestyles, professions and degrees of fame. The Independent Critics List intends to inform public opinion rather than reflect it. This list searches far and wide, listening to the millions of suggestions submitted every year, and tries to put together a list representative of the modern ideal of beauty. Aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria. Grace, elegance, class, poise, joy, promise, hope... they are all embodied in a beautiful face".

Credits: TCCandler and WonderfulGeneration

Taking 50th place is our face of the group, Im Yoona

In 42nd place is our leader Kim Taeyeon:

And then comes my bias who got top 10! In 5th place is Jessica Jung:

Ok, I'll stop now. hahaha SONE REPRESENT.

Is it only me, or is SNSD's batch of teaser images just down right beautiful that makes all the girls gay for them? Is it just me? IS IT?!

Fangirling aside, I'm well excited for their new release on the 1st, and it looks like they've already shot the new stage yesterday along with their other performances set to be released on a special show on new years! Excited now?

I know most sones would've seen the teaser images, which can I also add were released all at once after Seohyun's and Hyoyeon's, because some idiot decided it would be cool to leak some more out. Not cool. Not cool at all; but I'd just like to have a little talk talk session over their images in this post!

Pre-warning: Some bad ass chicks are about to be shown and justlikebibimbap will not be held responsible for any inidvidual that decides to convert oneself/harm oneself/losing oneself's voice from squealing in delight.

Alrighty then. Let's get to it.

In order of age, because I'm such a geeky sone:

Taeyeon:

Starting from the left: Not a huge fan of the blonde wig, although I really like the top and how it's got a subtle sweetheart cut with colourful beading stuck on the front. There was another photo that showed the back version but I can't be bothered to find it, but there's a hint of donald duck that peeps out on the back which I really like!

Next 2 photos are a little bit more toned down with her natural brown do, and I really love the messy hairdo in the middle and the red #swag cap on the right. Today is indeed a good day.

Jessica:

Maybe there's a thing going around with all the stylists and denim jackets, but whatever it is, I'm really liking it! The badges on the denim vest and Mickey popping out on the light blue denim jacket is equally cute. I find the dramatic bottom lashes on the right quite creepy looking, and her V-shaped face seems almost artificial. No, I don't blame plastic surgery. I just blame the awfully talented photographer/editor and their photoshopping skills.

Sunny:

I applaud Sunny for going the extra mile and getting a crayon coloured hairstyle. I like how it looks on her. It's short, but it gives her the extra bit of character you know? At first when I saw her on the unicorn, I couldn't recognise her mainly because it was a rather small photo and I could only see her eyes-even then, it was made up slightly different and it made me take a step back and wonder to myself if there was actually a hidden tenth member all this while. Loving the unicorn though and the Konglish on her #swag cap.

Tiffany:

I want the jacket she's wearing! I absolutely love how her hair looks in the right photo and I like how it's a candid shot. The middle photo is so diva with those mad studs on her chest area, the massive crown and the pink diva fur jacket is just....her. I don't like the wig, but somehow or rather it works with the concept in the photo.

Hyoyeon:

In love with the rainbow colours in her hair!!! Finally the stylists know how to style the girl! All these years with outfits that never fit her properly and all that, just...finally. Finally. It does remind me a bit of Hyuna's Ice cream. Not really the concept, but the vibe I get from looking at the photo. The leather jacket and peering over the shoulder <3

Yuri:

Her batch of photos were my favourite out of all the members. The studded bra, the flat tummy, multi coloured backdrop, the bad ass leather jacket, and her hair is black. Even though I do think that sometimes girls with coloured hair (mainly different shades of brown) are pretty, I find that they've kind of made black hair look ugly and life-less, which I think isn't the case at all. Which is exactly why, I always root for girls who rock black hairdos (or at least very dark brown)

Sooyoung:

I thought Sooyoung's batch was the most boring one out of the lot. Unfortunately, I though her hair was..typical. The red streaks looked a little lost amongst the black and looked like she just went to daiso and bought coloured crayons and did them herself. I do however like the tattoo of the flower on her thigh. There's not much that I like about the photo on the right though because It's just..the same with her other photos. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Yoona:

In Yoona's batch of photos, I really like the diversity of all the pictures. The random disco ball photo reminds me of Krystal's Electric shock teaser photo. Not tooo sure how I'm liking her circle lenses (or wtv it's called) in the middle photo, but it just scraped past creepy and into the normal category for me. Again, the denim jackets with candy deco <3

Seohyun:

There's another photo of her, but I seem to have lost it. Anyway, WELL DONE MAKNAE. You've shown more skin than most of the other girls, and it was very unlikely of you to do so. I'm not sure if they're actual abs, or maybe its because she's just so skinny that it shows some lines. Funky short shorts and random thigh tattoo along with the pink fur coat- fantastic.

Love the tatoo of all the girls' names on Hyoyeon. I find her nails slightly retarded though

Group photo with awkwardly positioned unicorn that sunny was on. I really like Sooyoung's top; Tiffany's black nail on her mouth makes it look like she's missing a tooth.

Uploader's gone crazy and refuses to upload the very last photo, so I leave all of you with these pictures only. If you haven't guessed already, I love pretty much all the images and am extremely excited for their new release. Anyone else excited?

On a side note, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OUR READERS! And may you have an amazing year ahead of you!

I posted this on my personal blog, but I decided to post it on here as well. Mainly because it contained SNSD material, but also because I wanted our readers to deviate just a slight bit away from life itself, and take a moment to absorb everything in.

"Yesterday, I was watching a Japanese show that featured SNSD. It was all about their Japan debut as well as group interviews on various other things. There was a segment that caught my eye, and it was "life motto" Each individual member came up/ had a life motto, and at the end of it all, it inspired me to come up with my own life motto. Here, extracted from the video are their life mottos:

"Don't do things I'd regret" -Kim Taeyeon.

She continued on saying that this was to avoid coming up with "what if" She wanted to live life the way she would without any regrets.

"Follow my heart" -Jessica Jung Soo Jung
This, she stated was so that she can continue to achieve her dreams in the future, without any worries of what other people might say.

"Live without regrets" -Im Yoon A
This is quite similar to Taeyeon's I must say.

"My best in every moment" -Lee Sunkyu
She further commented that she wanted to be her best at every moment possible, so that she won't have any regrets or having to hate herself later for not doing whatever it was that was to be done.

"The winner who finishes  is a person who has a good heart" -Seo Joo-Hyun
This is probably the one I don't get, even after she explained it. aiyah, why so complicated maknae?!

"Today is MY day"- Stephanie Hwang Mi Young
Initially, she had the motto "work my hardest at all times" because she thought that if she worked hard, results will be satisfying, and that way, she would be happy; but she later realised that sometimes when she's hardworking, she's never really happy, so she came up with this motto, that everyday, it would be her day, she's not going to let anyone ruin it, because it is after all, HER day. Not anyone elses.

"What would Jesus do?"-  Choi Sooyoung/ Summer
The motto speaks for itself really, if ever in a situation where she doesn't know what to do, or is stuck in, she'll think about what would Jesus do to get her through it.

"The place where i am standing will become a flower in an unchanging land and I will be a person that as clean as the stream water, and be diligent, sincere, and honest" - Kim Hyoyeon
Again, speaks for itself.

"A genius cannot win over one who puts in effort, and one who puts in effort cannot win over one who enjoys himself" -Kwon Yuri
Lastly, my favourite one from Yuri. In short, hard work beats any one with a genius brain; and you can never excel if you don't enjoy yourself. Whether you're put in a situation where it's not exactly the best it could be, find the good aspects of it, and think positively. If not, make it enjoyable.

After watching the video, I had a bucket full of inspiration, and I was determined all of a sudden. After playing bball on friday, I was always thinking, " if i died on saturday, I wouldn't have any regrets" I don't know why, but I was just so truly happy after friday. And it wasn't because we scored a lot, but just the fact that I took chances, and wasn't afraid of the outcome. It was the first time I did that, not caring a single bit, and I wondered would life be a whole lot more interesting if I had done that before?

Which leads me to the life motto I came up with a couple of hours ago,

"Live today the way you would if tomorrow was your last"
Self explanatory no? Dying without regrets. Basically, #YOLO. It covers all aspects, from achieving your dreams or taking that little step closer to that dream, to spending enough time with your loved ones, rather than spending your time on the computer. Ask yourself this, if you were to die tomorrow, would you have been satisfied knowing that you spent your last day on youtube, facebook and twitter rather than with your family? I'm not saying that you shouldn't spend time on the computer at all, but spending vast amounts of your day on it, isn't beneficial. No one knows when they're going to die. Death is unpredictable, as is everything else in life that decides to throw at you.

Having said that, I truly hope I don't die tomorrow."

Here's also to our 100th post!

For the past week, I've been watching old episodes of Kko Kko Tour with SNSD Tiffany in some and then SNSD Yuri in others. For those of you who have never heard of this variety show, well, I don't blame you. It's pretty old. One of the channels I subscribed to on Youtube uploaded them recently, so I was able to watch them. A brief overview of the show: Their motto is "Come as one, leave as two" which basically iterates to you come single, and you go back with a partner. Yes, it's a match making show. Although it's got some elements of WGM (We Got Married) in it, it's a lot more toned down, and it doesn't span over for a long time as the longest it goes on for is about 3/4 days. It gets exciting in some bits, but all in all, the activities that are carried out are pretty....lame. Sorry, I don't have a better word to describe it.

If any of you are interested in watching the show, here are subbed episodes of SNSD on them which you can find by clicking HERE. It's somewhere there :)

When I watched it, I realised that there was a Shinhwa member in it. (A quickie for those who don't know, Shinhwa is part of the first generation idols who came out with a newly released single early this year called "Venus" which I'm still addicted to; and yes, they're pretty ancient in age if you ask me) When I watched Shinhwa's stages, I felt my inner fangirl hormones soaring through the air. I don't if it's because they just look so manly, but I disgustingly felt fangirly. Minwoo (the one that was on the show) is considered to be the shortest one in the group, and err to be honest he's the only one I know besides Eric (which I saw somewhere in some drama once upon a time)

They are quite dreamy. hahahahah It's not just me...........right?

......right?

I was looking through piano covers the whole day on Saturday and I just fell in love with practically all of them. It made me want to play the piano again, and it's quite sad that there was one point in my life where I hated it so much. I think the main reason was people constantly nagging me to practice for my exams, and I just didn't think it was something that was necessary to do. Playing to pass an exam I mean.

Upon hearing these k-pop covers however, I'm itching to play again, and get my hands on some score sheets. These will be definitely used while I'm doing my work!

Taeyeon's Closer:

T-ara's Day and Night:

 Secret's Poison:

KARA's Pandora:

I'm going to make my sister play this with me! hahaha it's going to be so funny trying to learn it.

And last, I sign off with a video that's not a piano cover, but a little stage duet of SHINee's Taemin and IU I found on my surf on youtube.

After all that massive fuss about if T-ara will be allowed to appear on music shows as well as their supposed "boo-ing" scene at Jeju Stage, they've finally pulled through and came in 6th in the most recent Music bank and went for number 1 on Mcountdown! I don't know if they'll win, but I'm certainly hoping they do!

There was a period where people were going on about how their stage in Jeju was embarrassing because people turned off their glowsticks and didn't cheer for them. After they finished their stage, the crowd boo-ed them and some of them were calling out for Hwayoung. Personally when I watched fancams of it, I didn't hear people shouting out Hwayoung, and there were actually people clapping at the end. I guess it's not exactly screaming and shouting and clapping really loudly, but maybe the fancam didn't capture everything. Who knows. Here's the video:

Sounds normal ehh? It reminded netizens a lot of the "Black Ocean" that happened to SNSD a couple of years back after their debut. Different fandoms were against them and at one stage at dream concert, if I'm not mistaken, everyone turned off their glowsticks and kept completely quiet throughout the whole performance. I don't exactly know the full story, but people were really anti SNSD

The crowd while SNSD performing and the crowd after chanting...god knows what.

You can see there's only one patch of glowsticks lighted up. It scares me how insensitive some fandoms can be and how difficult it is to perform when the crowd if shouting out for BigBang and TVXQ. Here's one of the songs they performed that night.

It's horrible really, what people can do to you if they don't like you. Bottom line is, don't mess with fandoms. ever.

Wow wow weee. We will be expecting a huge wave of comebacks before the end of this year from the SM and YG!

G-Dragon in 3 days with his mini album and TVXQ coming back later this month, the rest of September will be a battle between the boys while us fan girls celebrate!

October will be the months for the girls with 2NE1 and Girls' Generation planning on coming back.

After the big guys, it's rookies' time! Exo will be coming back with a full length album this time (GIVE ME MY LADY ALREADY! I'VE BEEN YEARNING FOR IT SINCE THAT TEASER!) and YG will be releasing Kpop Star SuPearls and a new girl group who are apparently "YG's Girls Generation"!

Side note, Glen Check will also be releasing their new EP under the title "Cliché" at the end of this month! TOO MUCH TO HANDLE AHHHHHHHH!

Davichi and 2AM singing 2AM's confession of a friend and Davichi's 8282

2AM's Jokwon, Kim Jong Guk, SNSD's Taeyeon, a lady that has an amazing voice I don't know her name sorry, CNBLUE's Yonghwa, SNSD's Jessica, singing Josh Groban's (I think) You Raise Me Up.

SNSD singing Abba's dancing queen.

One of the best korean songs ever. In my opinion that is. I first heard it through Dream High season 1 when Eunjung and Suzy's character auditions for the entrance to that high prestigious music school. It was soooo nice, and I got hooked instantly. Here is Davichi's version of it, and like my friend Hye Ju says, these two can really belt out those notes pretty much perfectly.

Here's a cast rendition of the song, sung by JYP, IU, Kim Soo Hyun, Taecyeon, Suzy, Eunjung, Wooyoung and the little girl I don't know the name of.

Here's the cut from Dream High season 1! Apparently the last bit that Suzy did was dubbed by an actual opera singer. But who knows? she might be able to sing that well in real life.

I'm a total noob when it comes to harmonising, but I absolutely love listening to people harmonise. I really want to learn how to though!

A lot of people that are into K-pop, would have heard of Im Yoona, or better known as the "face" of SNSD. For the people who aren't with K-pop, here's the breakdown. Many entertainment companies often assign roles to each member of the group. A few compulsory ones would include: main vocalist/dancer and lead vocalist/dancer. Another very famous one would be "the face" in which that particular member pretty much represents the group's image. Yoona is known for her doe eyed, long neck appearance, and many guys choose her as their ideal type. Of course, along with all this love she's getting, her "anti-fan" list could should be equally as long. I myself, went through a phase where I was very anti her. Why? Because she was always the centre. She was always the one with the most airtime, the one with the most offers for CFs, the one with endless photoshoots. I always thought she had no talent; her singing was average, her dancing was satisfactory. So with a mindset that all idol groups should in fact have members with some special talent, I found none when it came to Yoona. I then started to become annoyed whenever Yoona was mentioned, whenever she was featured in some variety show. That girl can't sing or dance. She's completely useless.

Last night, I finally realised that she does, in fact have a talent. A talent that not many could pull off. A talent that requires you to be self composed at all times, a talent that requires nothing less than perfect on stage. One little mistake she makes, will affect the group's name. Do you know how much of a burden that is? I never realised until recently how much depth it contains. The weight on your shoulders, is as heavy as the reputation of 8 other girls. Why? Because you're the face, and everyone sees the face more than the rest of the group. Everyone expects you to be the perfect one. Why? Because you were chosen as the face.

Rather than having hate for "the face" I actually feel a little sympathy and more often pity. This is mainly because it is the Director/CEO/manager's choice of who "the face" would be. Did she, or any of the other "faces" choose to be it? I doubt so. Did they self volunteer? Maybe some did, but I doubt that all of them did. I feel pity for them because believe it or not, I think the "face" has one of the most important and most burdensome role ever. Singing? Dancing? Those things can be improved on. Those things could still be applauded when you've improved. The "face"? First impression means a lot. Future appearances are always important. Can you applaud them for improving? No. Absolutely not. Especially when we're living in a hypocritical society that demands so much from us. What, you want to get plastic surgery to "improve" yourself? BAM. haters fill in. Plastic surgery is so artificial, it's so fake, not real beauty. The list can go on, endless.

My point for this post, would be that I've finally come to realise the importance of the "face" and slowly, I have come to appreciate the role. This does not only apply to SNSD, but other groups as well, such as EXO, KARA, T-ara, and so many more. I hope people who have read this post will start to appreciate them a little bit more than before, because I certainly do now.

Some known "faces" of idol groups:

I don't think f(x) has an official face, but I reckon it's got to be krystal since she's always in the middle, and getting all cameras on her. All the time. Even when she's not even singing. No hate. no hate.

Here's T-ara's Jiyeon. Always love her eye make up.

EXO-K's Kai. I can see why he's chosen. lol

EXO-M's Luhan. I swear he looks like a kid.

There are really obvious ones from Rookie groups especially since they're all up and going with advertising. But I think no one can beat SM when it comes to advertising. hahah I don't know the names of the rookie groups, so this is it for now!

Before I got around to watching My Princess, I managed to get myself through Love Rain. Love Rain had made big hallyu stars like Yoona (SNSD) and Jang Geun Suk (other lame dramas) star in it, and I guess the hype was pretty up there. I admit, it was not as bad as I thought it would be, but it was down right predictable, and the ending couldn't be any more cheesy. That aside, let's get on with the rest of the drama.

The first few episodes were so draggy I wanted to pull all my hair out. It was an olden day setting, telling the story of how the 2 main stars fell in love with each other. After a couple of episodes, it fast forwards to the present day, and presents the 2 main stars's kids who meet each other (played again by the 2 main stars)

Fine. It was sweet. To a certain extent. And yes. It was heartbreaking in some parts. Besides that, this drama was just an old boring one, with no excitement, twist, nothing. If pulling in big Hallyu stars was their strategy to make it big, then they've got it wrong. Before I say anything else, I must say, Yoona's acting has actually improved from her debut as an actress, and well, Jang Geun Suk's is just..mediocre. He seems to only possess 2 different kind of facial expressions. Angry/pissed and happy. That's it.

It was tormenting to watch not only because the story line was predictable, but maybe because I actually knew what was going to happen at the end. Yeah, I stumbled upon it waaayyyy before I started watching, but I wanted to see how it'd all turn out at the end. If it was worth it or not. Well..I guess not?

On to the "stare into space dream about something" Like most other korean dramas, IT WAS SO LONG. Too long in fact. I think I managed to skip almost a quarter of the whole drama, without missing any big drama. Kiss scenes were pretty intense I must say, and definitely better than watching Jessica being eaten by that old dude in "wild romance"

It was still nice to watch on a boring day, to make time pass. (If you need some excitement, this is NOT for you)

Yeah, now you know what happens in the end. Lol, I just ruined it for you. hehe

Overall Rating: 5.5/10

Whoop whoop! Always liked looking at idols' tattoos. Find them really hot (JAY PARK‘S <3). Some surprises on the list tbh. I didn’t know EXO’s Kris had tattoos! And he has 2 (That we could see. Who knows what he hides under those shirts. More tattoos? Abs?)! Teen Top’s CAP as well. The heck?! It’s hugeeeee! D: And BAP’s Bang Yong Guk too! All you idols that are still hiding your tattoos, you better reveal them soon!
Others that weren’t on the lists: Super Junior’s Sungmin and Beast’s Junhyung

Another type of body modification: PIERCINGS!
http://blog.ningin.com/2011/10/07/top-10-idols-with-multiple-piercings/
They really love getting piercings too. Most guys have it, multiple even! Boy, do I looooooove Hyoyeon, Tiffany and BoA’s piercings. Hyoyeon’s one is just hardcore! 14? She must have some high ass pain tolerance! And I really love belly piercing too. Just makes everything sexier. Jia has got to be real adventurous to get her lips pierced as well! More er..interesting ones like Eli’s hand piercing (It looks kinda awksies but unique nevertheless.) and Jaejoong’s belly and nipple piercing. Now when I say I like belly piercings, I meant I like it on girls. Guys? Just a tad bit weird IN MY OPINION. Sorry if you like it. Won’t judge.

I don’t care what some other people think but personally, I really like tattoos and piercings. I think I’ll probably get a tattoo (or tattoos) one day and more piercings (I think a cartilage and maybe even a belly piercing!). My parents should be fine with it..I think. Well my dad cannot disagree since he has a huge ass one himself.

For those of you who don't know, TaeTiSeo is a subunit of SNSD which is comprised of Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun. The name could defnitely have been a little bit more meaningful and slightly more creative considering they're part of one out of the 3 top entertainment companies, so I would imagine that more thought and effort could have been put into the name of the subunit. I did however found out later on that they are doing a rotation system, whereby different members will be put into the subunit at one point or another, so I guess in other words, it's much easier to have that kind of subunit name, so people are aware of who is in which subunit.

Their first mini album titled "Twinkle" was released at the end of April and has recieved a lot of attention, especially their hit song "Twinkle". Promotions have ended a while back, but I decided to do a review on it anyway because personally, I'm totally in love with pretty much all their songs. TaeTiSeo was also reported to be the first unit to win four triple crowns straight, owning all rookies and veterans alike. That's pretty impressive if you ask me.

Many people still do talk about how their fame is just derived from their beauty, and once upon a time, I did think so as well. But upon hearing their latest tracks and singles, I was slowly convinced that they were in fact, pretty good singers themselves (I would have another debate on the other member's capabilities). So without further ado, here is my take on the 7 songs in their album.

1. Twinkle
Twinkle, in my opinion resembles a little of "Lady Marmalade" but it also has a different take on it's musical instruments. The three vocals are harmonised very well throughout the song and has a catchy beat. Tiffany, being in charge of lower vocals, presents her lines pretty well, however there are some parts that sound a tiny bit forced. She definitely will be able to pull off a lower version of this much better. For the maknae, I have to say, I definitely did not think she had the vocal range or capabilities to sing like she does in this song. Her vocals are amazing, and she can adapt well according to different pitches as well as rhythm. There is also though, a point in the song where I find that she strains her voice too much to the point where it doesn't sound all that good. She could definitely be the next Taeyeon if she continues practicing. Taeyeon, Taeyeon, Taeyeon. I don't really have much to say about her, she executes all the notes perfectly, and when you think she's about to crack, she holds it on even longer, and proves to you that she could do it even better.

2. Baby Steps
Baby Steps is a song that I think should go under the R&B category. It's definitely one of my favourite songs to date, and I can play it on replay without getting sick of it. It's slightly slower tempo enhances the trio's vocals even more. In addition to that, the execution of longer notes in this track was..perfect. I'm really not trying to be bias, but it really is a great song. Even people I know who aren't Sones, admit that they're in love with this song. So take a listen!

3.OMG
OMG is a song that has that broadway feel to it, which sometimes can make you feeling all diva and girly and..yeah. Well, maybe it's just me...*averts eyes to opposite direction* I like the use of the different instruments that are not usually used in kpop styled songs. Trumpets, big orchestral drums I don't know the name of, cymbals, and many more I can't recognise (woop, IGCSE music down the drain) So if you're in to broadway styled music, I can guarantee you'd love this.

4. Library
Ok, I'm going to be honest, I don't like this song. It's annoying, slightly repetitive in some areas where it shouldn't be, and just..not appealing at all. The "oh-oh-oooohhhh" as backing sounds annoy me greatly which is why I'm not a complete fan of this song. Have a listen to it anyway, people have different tastes in music.

5. Goodbye, Hello
I reckon this song goes into my "ok, I don't mind listening to it, but it's not getting onto my replay list" This song however does showcase the girl's excellent vibrato (as does all the other songs, but wtv) It might be slightly too boring for me, and doesn't have that catch to the song. And it's slightly too happy for me. lol.

6. Love Sick
This slow tempo R&B track is nice to listen to when you just want to relax, and have some time to yourself. It has got a nice tempo that could possibly put you to sleep. lol. Compared to all the other songs, I think Love Sick has the best bridge. To me, it has just the right amount of crescendo, and diminuendos. I can see people dancing jazz? to this song. Yep, I think it's jazz, haha I don't know my different genres of dance, sorry!

7. Checkmate
This song goes into my "meh" category, which is a level down from my "ok, I don't mind listening to it, but it's not getting onto my replay list". I'm not that big of a fan for the pitch, and it's auto tune type of sound rhythm. It's somewhat mysterious in some parts, which is quite exciting, it also competes with Love Sick for the "best bridge" title, and come to think of it, this might win because of the epic drumming. Other than that, there really isn't much else to this song.

I know I've said before that I'm a Sone, but that doesn't mean I don't criticise their songs as well. I criticise many aspects of kpop that I'm unhappy about, but there is almost always a good thing about kpop that balances the whole thing out. I've put up only audio videos of the tracks because I wanted people to listen to the music first before judging their stage performances.

And for those who are interested in seeing my favourite live performances, here they are:

Baby Steps
Love Sick (this includes their short cover of Pixie Lott's Mama Do as well as twinkle)
Twinkle

Those are the only live performances I can find, which they've performed unfortunately :( But I hope I've gotten some of you to like some of the songs in their album by reading this post!

"Fashion King tells the story of young aspiring designers in Dongdaemun Market as they dream of success, and the relationships, love, and challenges they face along the way.
Kang Young Gul has never had any goals or dreams for a bright future until he meets Lee Ga Young. Together they work towards their dreams." --taken from Dramawiki

L-R: Lee JeHoon, Shin SeKyung, Yoo Ah In, Kwon Yuri

I'm not going to go into detail about each of the characters because..well, if you want to watch it, then it's pretty self explanatory once you start watching.

The drama overall has a really good plot and story line, first depicting the lives of the not so wealthy citizens of Korea, as well as the not so lucky citizens as well. It then goes on, to show the fight between the two guys. I'm not going to reveal so much just incase some of you want to watch it-which I highly recommend, for reasons to be discussed later if you do watch it.

I think this drama is the very few dramas I've watched that has a solid meaning, or you could say "lesson" behind it. It shows how a poor man and woman can become rich and successful if they put in the hard work and persevere through everything. But it also shows how that can also lead to greed and selfishness, which could possibly lead to a downfall. It actually reminds me of a shakespeare type of story. The thing that got confusing somewhere down the middle is when I wasn't sure anymore who the protagonist or the antagonist was. It was quite..confusing. But maybe that was the whole point, I wouldn't know.

Of course, with all Kdramas, there's the element of "slow-ness" in it. The first few episodes went at an acceptable speed, but by the time the problems come flooding in, they start to go in dreamland and they start staring into space, with the drama's OST blaring in the background. There were quite a few of these moments. Fortunately, I was streaming online, therefore I could fast forward a lot of the parts. I think I may have skipped whole chunks of an episode because of the ridiculous amounts of dreamland scenes.

In my opinion, excluding the usual kdrama issues, it's a really good show. Although, it didn't make me cry like most dramas do, it did make me go through all that hatred and those different emotions the characters were going through. It was displayed quite effectively.

On to the characters acting. I don't know too much about the 2 guys, but they're pretty good, and I'm guessing they're veterans in the industry already. I don't know if any of you realised but Shin Se Kyung is SHINee's JongHyun's ex gf, and before, I didn't really think much of her, but just as JongHyun's ex, but after watching the drama, can I just say she's SO PRETTY! According to Rachel, she hasn't gotten any work done, so well done to her! haha..She's also damn amazing at crying on cue. It looks like most of the crying scenes were done in one go, so they didn't like cut up some scenes and stuck them together. I'm quite impressed.

On to our Yuri. I know she's been studying acting for quite some time now, and she's never been in a drama before, and seeing as this is her debut in the acting industry, she's really good. And I'm not saying that because I'm a fan of SNSD, but I'm truly saying it's a good debut. She well and truly exceeded my expectations. I think it's also because I'm comparing her debut to the other members like Jessica and Yoona, which to be honest, wasn't that great. Jessica was still somewhat satisfactory (a part of me thinks it's also the character she was given in Wild Romance was sort of..weird anyway) Yoona however, I don't know, the first time I saw her acting was ages ago in some drama I can't remember the name of, but she was..shit. sorry.
But I guess she's improved a whole lot after seeing a couple of episodes of Love Rain. She's..improved. I say "a couple of episodes" because Love Rain's plot is really..dry. And just not exciting. It lacked originality and it was predictable as well.

It was also reported that Love Rain's ratings were the lowest ever for the history of the Monday and Tuesday drama time slots. Normally, the good shows are on Monday and Tuesdays, but this had the lowest ratings ever. Fashion king had higher viewer ratings, but it was still single digit I think.

My Overall Rating for Fashion King: 8/10

Like many girl groups, when it comes to hair colour, it definitely changes depending on various concepts that their told to promote in. I'm often surprised at how undamaged their hair looks even with all those perming, straightening, colouring thing going on. But then again, they get hair treatments as often as when they decide to burn their hair, so I guess at the end of the day, it balances out.

Tiffany of SNSD is no different either. If you're a Sone, you would know that she's just dyed her hair black again, as seen at the Salvatore Ferragamo event.

She was of course a red head before this while promoting for TaeTiSeo's hit single "Twinkle". At first I thought it was a pretty daring move considering you don't really see asian red heads around all that much, but I must say, she pulled it off pretty well!

However I have to say, my most favourite hairstyle on her would have to be when they came back with "The Boys" promotion. It must have been because it was the most natural looking hairstyle I've seen on an idol for a very long time, but regardless, it was still pretty chic!

It was very similar to her hairstyle during "Run Devil Run", except I wasn't too fond of the length on her during that time.

I was also really touched with the whole story of her dying her hair golden brown just for a photoshoot she had in LA. You can read the story HERE.

Speaking of hairstyles, my hair's a complete bush these days, need to get a cut soon!

P.S: Click on the links! they're linked to youtube videos of performances :)
